Heritage Landing Stewardship Day
August 16, 9:00 AM

Join your Nelson neighbors at Heritage Landing on Wednesday, August 16, at 9:00 AM for a land and water stewardship day dedicated to preserving and beautifying our cherished Muskegon Lake shoreline.

Activities will include a waterfront cleanup, instruction in the care and maintenance of our native plants, and a demonstration of the amazing Pixie Drone. This floating, remote-controlled device helps collect public litter in the environment, especially plastics.

This important event will include several guest speakers, including Cindy Larsen of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Alan Steinman of the Grand Valley State University Robert B. Annis Water Resources Institute, and Jean Weirich & Lora Swenson from the Friends of Heritage Landing.

Along with Nelson Neighborhood, event hosts include Friends of Heritage Landing, Muskegon County, and the Muskegon County Environmental Coordinating Council.
